I have the pleasure of being the owner skipper since 1989. I have been using her as a floating work shop studio and base for AYF training schemes, as well as enjoyment.
Her rig is not yet complete but this has not stopped her from completing many coastal voyages. She has a beautiful 4LW Gardener diesel engine and a 6.5kva Onan genset.
Tao has a centre board in lieu of a traditional lee boards. Even though her displacement is 26 tonnes; she still only draws in 1 metre of water.
Designed to carry 11.5 tonnes of cargo she has the feeling of an apartment rather than a boat.
With massive covered deck and large stainless steel BBQ area, Tao makes the perfect mother boat for smaller crafts, and water sports.
